After a logistical preparation of more than four months, an Air Combat Command Team No. 3 arrived in Fonseca, La Guajira, to provide medical assistance to a Wayúu community.
Mayabangloma is a Wayúu community that is located 20 minutes away of the municipality of Fonseca, La Guajira, where members of the Air Combat Command No.3 arrived, in order to provide medical assistance to its inhabitants, who had previously made several requirements to the Colombian Air Force, which provided support to 708 people who received medical assistance in different specialties.
During this approaching activity to the inhabitants, was carried out the distribution of medicines, presents for the 169 families and the delivery of an Enramada (as colloquially it is known to a kiosk) in which they will carry out activities for the community, such as cults, educational instructions for children and the activities of the ethnicity. The community received with gratitude this important help.
At the end, 150 chairs were distributed to be used in the Enramada. Also an integration activity with the Wayúu ethnic group was held to provide them wellbeing in the midst of the difficulties they have had to face due to the winter wave and the pandemic, contributing significantly to improve the quality of life of these communities.
