Students of the National University, in the department of Amazonas, and their families will receive 1,600 kilograms of food aid transported from Bogotá to Leticia, in a Jupiter-767 aircraft of the Colombian Air Force.
The humanitarian mission was carried to meet the needs of the low-income students’ community that take their university studies, to train themselves as future professionals.
According to Professor Germán Ochoa, director of the alma Mater, in the department of Amazonas, the aid will be given to the most vulnerable students, who together with their families have suffered the ravages of the pandemic by COVID - 19 in the far south of the country.
