In the last few hours, a clash took place against individuals who would be members of the Iván Ríos Structure dissidents in the rural area of the municipality of Tumaco (Nariño), where two individuals were arrested, including the second group ringleader of this criminal organization.
After an operation framed in the Ayacucho Joint Strategic Plan, in the last few hours the Military Forces, in a coordinated and interinstitutional way with the Police and the Prosecutor's Office, arrested, after a combat, two alleged members of the organized armed group structura Iván Ríos of the FARC dissidents, who were hiding in the rural area of the municipality of Tumaco (Nariño), with the objective of fleeing and hiding of the operation conducted by the authorities against the different phenomena of criminality.
It is about alias El Flaco, the second group ringleader of that criminal structure, who would have more than eight years of criminal history.
As it has been established, he would in the same way be the right-hand of alias El Mocho, second in command of that gang that would have been in charge of carrying out different drug trafficking activities in the south of the municipality of Tumaco (Nariño), among the hamlets areas of Nueva Unión, Candelilla de la Mar, Congal, Milagros, Pueblo Nuevo and El Descolgadero, having a connection with international cartels such as the Sinaloa Cartel, since this criminal organization receives weapons as payment for the illicit substances they distribute.
In the same way, alias Encho, a member of the Iván Ríos criminal structure group of the FARC dissidents, exercised criminal acts in hamlets and villages along the Pacific coast, and had a criminal experience of more than five years in which he specialized in carrying out the coordination to support the maintenance of the criminal structure in the department.
It should be noted that at the time of the arrests, some people tried to oppose the judicial procedure, since they are used and threatened by these organizations to have them through forced recruitment of minors, displacement, coercion and selective murders of their relatives and social leaders.
In the search and review operations it was possible to find two long weapons, two short weapons, 10 magazines for rifle, six magazines for pistol, three hand grenades, explosives, ammunition of different calibers, abundant communications material and military accessories and about 16 million pesos in cash.
Thanks to this decisive operation of the Joint Task Force for Stabilization and Consolidation Hercules, this structure of the FARC dissidents suffers an important structural loss that forces it to modify its line of command within its armed component and it was possible to weaken the concrete links with international drug trafficking cartels, thus damaging their criminal expansion over the department of Nariño.
