The inhabitants of the municipality of Puerto López, department of Meta received a varied and complete academic services presentation where the different professional careers in the EMAVI Military Aviation School and the technological careers in the ESUFA Non-Commissioned Officers School of the Colombian Air Force were presented.
Responding to a request of the inhabitants and in coordination with the communal action boards, members of the Air Combat Command No. 2, CACOM 2, and the Colombian Air Force Personnel Command presented the requirements, registration dates, special discounts and other information to enter professional programs such as Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aeronautical Administration and Aeronautical Military Sciences, in addition to technological programs in Aeronautical Maintenance, Air Defense, Aeronautical Supplies, among others.
Adults and young people of the Piapoco and Achaguas Indigenous Reserve, accompanied by their teachers, got to know first-hand the mission carried out by the Colombian Air Force and the contribution made by military aviation to the country, they also knew the history, evolution of the Institution and the current resources that it takes to save lives and ensure national sovereignty. “The students are quite enthusiastic about this talk, it is very important that they know and can already start forming their life project,” said Professor Nicolás Ibáñez, a Mathematics teacher at the Yaaliakeisy Tri-ethnic School, which translates in the indigenous Achagua language: “Where knowledge is born.”
In this way, the villages that may require it have free and permanent access to public information of interest, meaning more and better opportunities for remote communities by strengthening inter-institutional agreements in defense of the inhabitants.
