Facing an imminent risk, 88 people of the villages of Santa Clara, Alto de las Yerbas and P谩rraga Viejo, were evacuated in a Black Hawk helicopter of the Colombian Air Force, to a temporary shelter established by the local authorities in the head of the municipality of Rosas, in the department of Cauca.
The aerial mission was carried out in coordination with National Army troops, who guided the aircraft to different stable topographic points on the three hamlets, to land and evacuate in 11 helicopter missions.
The Angel helicopter on its second day of operations, flew five hours and 30 minutes, and managed to evacuate children, young people, elderly and even more than 10 pets to safe ground; after transporting people, the crews transported to the place about two tons of humanitarian aid, food baskets and mats.
Despite the weather conditions, the Colombian Air Force continues to bring entire families to safety, reiterating the motto We leave no one behind; the missions in the place do not cease.
