700 people of the people of Garagoa in Santa Marta - Magdalena benefited from an awareness-raising and social integration activity in which medical, veterinary assistance, wellness services and healthy recreation were provided.
The activity was made possible thanks to the coordinated work conducted by the Colombian Navy, the National Police, the Mobile Justice House of the Mayor's Office of Santa Marta, the Colombian Institute of Family Wellbeing – ICBF, and the National Civil Registry office, who moved to the neighborhood Popular to bring the State services closer to these people of the Colombian Northern Caribbean.
During the activity, services were provided for issuing, renewing and duplicating the citizenship card and identity card, veterinary care and deworming of animals, reinforcement of vaccines against Covid-19, recreational activities for children and adolescents, as well as the distribution of 500 units of Bienestarine (food supplement).
During the activity, crew members of the Santa Marta Primary Coast Guard Station accompanied the awareness talks and social integration activities conducted by adults and young people preventing school dropout and the consumption of psychoactive substances.
This type of activity leads to strengthening the relationship conducted by the Military Forces and civilians, helping to meet the basic needs of the most vulnerable and encourage the structuring of life projects of young people.
