The General Command of the Military Forces through the Department of International Affairs, from June 12 to 16, 2023, participates in the VII Meeting of the General Staffs, Colombia - Mexico in order to strengthen the cooperation ties between the two countries, establishing a roadmap that leads to increasing Resources, exchanges of experience, through understandings and commitments that will be executed during the period 2024-2025.
In the same way, with this meeting held in Mexico City, the aim is to increase the bonds of partnership that have characterized relations between the two nations through bilateral cooperation in Security and Defense to achieve common objectives.
This Meeting of the General Staffs conducted by Colombia and Mexico is an important strategic mechanism of international cooperation held by the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Secretariat of National Defense of the Mexican United States and the General Command of the Colombian Military Forces, linking the National Army and the Colombian Air Force.
The VII Meeting conducted by Colombia and Mexico is held every two years alternating the host country, in order to make a complete report of the previous cooperation plan and subscribe, on this occasion, the Colombian-Mexican bilateral military cooperation plan 2024-2025.
The participation of the Colombian delegation in this important meeting generates an opportune space to continue demonstrating the resources of the Colombian Military Forces to the world, and thus promote the portfolio of international cooperation on instruction and training.
