In these departments, heavy blows have been dealt against crime that have resulted in the dismantling of groups specialized in microtrafficking and other crimes.
Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan, troops of the Fifth Brigade of Colombian National Army, in coordination with the National Police, dismantled three organized crime groups in the department of Santander and the south of the department of Cesar. In total, 30 people were arrested as members of these groups specialized in different criminal activities and common crime groups.
In Barbosa, Santander, soldiers of this unit, in coordination with the National Police, dismantled the organized crime group Los Inquietos, through two arrests in flagrante delicto, eight by court order and the apprehension of a minor. These people will have to face charges of association to commit crimes, trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotics and use of minors for the crimes group; they were in the same way found with 41 doses of cocaine hydrochloride, 250 doses of marijuana, cell phones and a traumatic weapon.
Meanwhile, two other groups were dismantled in the south of Cesar. In R铆o de Oro it was possible to arrest those known as Los Correcaminos, six people who would be at the service of illegal armed groups in sectors of the road that leads from Aguachica to Oca帽a. These people will have to face charges of qualified theft, simple kidnapping and association to commit crimes; in the same way, in previous days, three members of the organized crime group known as Los Chinchillas had already been arrested, who would in the same way be at the service of illegal groups; 280 grams of narcotics and 2 motorcycles were found by troops on them, and they were prosecuted for the crimes of false trademark and manufacture, trafficking or carrying of narcotics.
These results complement the arrest of eleven more people for different crimes related to common crime, which occurred in several municipalities of Santander, with which it was possible to reduce the criminal operations of those who try to intimidate the inhabitants of this region.
