Within these structures found by troops there were about 6,500 gallons of liquid supplies and more than 2,800 kilograms of solid supplies.
As part of the Colombian Navy's ongoing operation against the transnational crime of drug trafficking, during joint and coordinated operations with Colombian National Army, the Colombian Aerospace Force and the National Police, 18 constructions that were used for the production of coca base paste were found by troops and destroyed in the departments of Cauca and Valle del Cauca.
In the rural area of the municipalities of López de Micay and Timbiquí - Cauca, troops of the Navy Infantry River Battalion No.42 of the Colombian Navy, jointly with Colombian National Army and the Colombian Aerospace Force, and coordinated with the National Police, found 16 rudimentary structures inside which were found by troops 5,800 gallons of liquid precursors and more than two thousand kilograms of solid precursors for the production of coca base paste. According to preliminary information, it is presumed that these structures would belong to the Residual Organized Armed Group Rafael Aguilera that commits crimes in the area.
In the same way, in the department of Valle del Cauca, on Ajicito Island, a rural area of the Buenaventura Special District, troops of the Navy Infantry River Battalion No. 24, in joint operations with Colombian National Army, found two rudimentary laboratories, with 622 gallons of liquid precursors and 791 kilograms of solid precursors, used for the production of coca base paste.
These structures allegedly belonged to the Residual Organized Armed Group Jaime Martínez.
