Among those arrested is alias Kike, the alleged ringleader of this gang.
Within the framework of different joint and inter–institutional operations conducted by the Colombian Navy, Colombian National Army and the Technical Investigation Corps - CTI, of the Attorney General's Office, 12 people were arrested, including four women, who allegedly were part of the Organized Gang Los Paisanos, which commits crimes in the department of Córdoba.
Thanks to the deployment of technical and human resources by the Military Forces and the CTI, these people were found by troops in Lorica, Montería, San Antero and Santa Fe de Antioquia in the department of Córdoba and in Puerto Carreño – Vichada, as far as the members of the Military Forces arrived, with the aim of complying with the search and arrest orders issued by Prosecutor's Office 1, delegated to the superior court of Bogotá, for the alleged crimes of manufacturing, trafficking, carrying narcotics and association to commit crimes.
Among those arrested is alias Kike, who apparently would be in charge of receiving the money of the sale of narcotics and would maintain direct contact with ringleaders of the GAO Clan del Golfo in the Urabá region of Antioquia. In the same way, alias Gordito, Suegro, Julio or Maraña, Maya, Ely, Nelson, La Flaca, Kellys, Avi, Grego and Yonki were arrested, who would be in charge of the purchase, sale and distribution of narcotics, as well as carrying out extortions, in the municipalities of San Antero and Santa Cruz de Lorica, in Córdoba and Coveñas, in Sucre.
Those arrested were put into custody of the authority.
