The Colombian Air Force, through the Air Combat Command No.5, carried out a coordinated operation with the National Police, in which 12 aircraft of different civil companies were immobilized for not complying with the required documentation to fly.
During the 'Aurora' operation, 157 aircraft and 57 hangars were inspected at the Enrique Olaya Herrera Airport in Medell铆n, with the support of the Special Commandos, who provided safety on the ground.
With members of the Air Defense squadrons of the Air Combat Commands No.5 and No.1 this mission was carried out with the objective of exercising a strict control over the permits and certificates granted by the Civil Aeronautics that helps them operate according to the regulations.
