The Office of the Attorney General of the Nation and the Colombian Air Force were fundamental for the military operation.
Arauca. The Task Force Quiron, of the Eighth Division, managed to give a resounding blow to the Residual Organized Group First Front in the department of Arauca with the capture of 11 of its members under the command of alias “Fabián” or “Ferley”, third in command of the criminal organization.
The operation that was carried out with air support and a wide deployment of troops on the ground, took place in the village El Cesar in the municipality of Tame, a site that served as a meeting point for the aforementioned leader and the terrorist support networks for the payment of extortions and the concentration of logistics material that would strengthen the guerrilla structure.
At the site, troops found two rifles, two handguns, six firearms, with 1,485 cartridges of different caliber, night vision googles, two communication scanner radios, important military garments material, 12 cell phones, important documentation for intelligence, propaganda with logos allusive to the armed group, and means of transport, which they had arranged to commit a crime in the area.
With these captures, it is possible to decimate the criminal operations of these individuals such as the collection of money from extortions made against contractor companies of multinationals, companies of transport of public service and cargo transport, guilds of merchants, agriculturists and farm animals growers, who were constantly intimidated by alias '”Fabian” or “Ferley” the main ring leader of this criminal activity in the department of Arauca.
