The laboratories would belong to the Santiago Lozada Group of the Residual Organized Armed Group Central General Staff of the FARC.
In recent weeks, in joint operations conducted by the Colombian Navy, Colombian National Army and the Colombian Aerospace Force, ten laboratories for the production of coca base paste were found by troops and destroyed in the department of Vichada, thanks to the ongoing operation supported by the Military Forces to hit the drug trafficking chain in this area of the country.
The last laboratory was destroyed in the sector known as Caño Chupave in the municipality of Cumaribo - Vichada; where thanks to Naval Intelligence information, a River Operations Group found a wooden structure in which there were 1,320 gallons of liquid supplies and 453 kilograms of solid supplies, in addition to equipment and machinery for the production of narcotics.
The other nine laboratories were found by troops and destroyed in Caño Chupave thanks to the synergy of the military operation conducted by units of the 5th Navy Infantry Brigade, the 28th Brigade of Colombian National Army and the support of aircraft of the Eastern Air Group; which have worked together to exercise control of the territory and precisely reach these constructions.
The material found in recent weeks that mostly belonged to the Santiago Lozada Group of the Residual Organized Armed Group Central General Staff - EMC of the FARC, consists of 6,877 gallons of liquid supplies such as fuels and acetones and 3.6 tons of solid supplies such as ammonia, urea, cement, among other chemicals, which were destroyed under controlled conditions or put into custody of the judicial authority.
