With the mission of supporting the operations that were being carried out on the ground, the Colombian Aerospace Force through a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter with the Bambi Bucket equipment supported the extinction of the fire that occurred near the Chaparral hamlet aqueduct, in San Vicente, Antioquia.
The helicopter carried out 17 water drops with its Bambi Bucket system, approximately 20,800 gallons of water with retardant liquid, in order to combat the hottest hot spots and completely suffocating the flames that burned a large part of native forest.
It is noteworthy the coordinated firmness conducted by firefighters from municipalities such as San Vicente, Concepci贸n, Alejandr铆a, El Retiro, Rionegro, Guarne, Marinilla, El Carmen de Viboral and Santuario, who complemented the operation, working in coordination with the Civil Defense, Dagran, the National Personnel Recovery Center, CENRP, of the Colombian Aerospace Force, the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management, people and the different relief agencies.
