A UH-60 helicopter of the Colombian Aerospace Force, which took off in the city of Cali, arrived in the rural area of the municipality of L贸pez de Micay, Cauca, to evacuate six people seriously hit by an explosive device.
Responding immediately to the call of the Emergency Regulatory Center (CRUE) of Cauca and in coordination with the National Personnel Recovery Center (CENRP), the Air Combat Command No. 7 sent a Black Hawk helicopter, in Angel configuration, with its crew and medical personnel, to carry out the humanitarian mission.
This delicate situation occurred on the Cauca Pacific coast, when a group of more than 20 indigenous community members belonging to the Bel茅n Iguana and Guadualito reservations, were carrying out routine activities and fell into a minefield in the rural area of the village of Zaragoza, in the municipality of L贸pez de Micay. Among the people with the most wounds are three minors aged 13, 16 and 17 and three adults aged 18, 22 and 44.
During the flight, the medical assistance team and rescuers of the Aerospace Force conducted the stabilization of the vital signs of the patients, who were taken to the Valle de Lili Clinic, to receive specialized medical assistance.
In this way, the Colombian Aerospace Force continues to reach remote places, maintaining its maximum preparation to continue saving lives.
