Buenaventura. In operations of military control, three individuals who identified themselves as minors of age and an adult, members of the ELN and carrying weapons, voluntarily looked for the troops of the National Navy in the municipality of Nuquí - Chocó and in the municipality of Guapi - Cauca.
In the municipality of Nuquí - Chocó, two minors of age without identification, looked for the troops. Alias "Deison", 17, who had been delinquent for five years in this structure of the ELN and other minor, 16, who had been three years in the ranks of this Organized Armed Group, left the weapons. The two minors who served as guerrilla fighters, committed crimes under the command of alias "Estiven" of the ELN Front Resistencia Cimarron, in the area of the municipalities of Bajo Baudó and Nuquí, in the department of Chocó.
The minors surrendered two AK-47 rifles, 494 rifle cartridges, five explosive devices with one kilogram of pentolite-type explosive, among other military garments and materials. The minors were taken to the facilities of the Marine Infantry Battalion No.23 in the municipality of Bahía Solano - Chocó, where the respective process for the restoration of their rights by the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare - ICBF is being carried out.
On the other hand, in the municipality of Guapi, in the department of Cauca, two members of the José María Becerra Company of the ELN surrendered to the troops of the National Navy. The man, who turned out to be alias "Caliche", 37, had two years in this organized armed group, and had with him a girl, alias "Yina", 16, had been one year in the ELN ranks.
Alias "Caliche" and alias "Yina", surrendered to the troops of the National Navy two 40-millimeter grenades, as well as information of an illegal depot with weapons containing three rudimentary-made shotguns, about 4,000 cartridges of different calibers and two kilograms of explosives apparently pentolite.
The Marine Infantry Battalion No.42 conducts the procedures for the adult to enter the program of Humanitarian Assistance to the Demobilized - GAHD. The girl was put into custody of the Colombian Family Wellbeing Institute - ICBF.
So far this year, six members of the ELN who committed crimes in the department of Chocó have voluntarily surrendered to the troops of the National Navy, including three minors of age.
