Valle del Cauca. The operation of the National Navy in the Colombian Pacific against the drug trafficking organizations, led to the interception of a ship in which 394 kilograms of marijuana were transported in the department of Valle del Cauca, towards Central America.
The naval intelligence information directed the maritime units to find the ship when it sailed in the mouth of the Naya River, in the Punta Ají sector. The drug traffickers, noting the presence of the units of the Pacific Naval Force, hit the boat against the beach and left the place. Troops were deployed in the area to search for criminals.
The abandoned boat "Dios y mis hijos", contained 14 bags with alkaloids packages. The boat was towed and the alkaloid was taken aboard a Pacific Naval Force ship to the facilities of the National Navy in the municipality of Buenaventura, where the judicial authorities determined that they contained 394 kilograms of marijuana, after conducting the corresponding test.
So far this year, the Pacific Naval Force has found more than 21 tons of alkaloids, including cocaine hydrochloride and marijuana, damaging the finances of drug trafficking organizations.
