Bogotá. In commemoration of the National Day of Memory and Solidarity with the Victims of Conflict, the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences of the University of San Buenaventura of Bogotá held the Forum “Building of Historical Memory in Colombia: diverse voices.”
The purpose of this event was to generate a space for dialogue conducted by different sectors of society about the versions, interpretations and positions on the construction of the historical memory of the Colombian armed conflict.
It counted on the presence of representatives of the various sectors immersed in the process of historical memory construction such as the Military Forces, the National Police and representatives of the victims of the conflict, who, from their perspectives, how have consolidated memory construction exercises in the country.
The General Command of the Military Forces was represented by the Captain of the Air Force Jorge Armando Landínez Mayorga, head of investigations of the Chief of Historical Memory and Context, historian and candidate for a Master's in Peacebuilding of the Universidad de Los Andes.
This forum was a valuable academic exercise that contributed to students and guests to understand how historical memory contributes to the construction of peace and the reconciliation and coexistence of communities that have been hit by the conflict, as a reflection on what means and what should be for the Colombians this April 9, National Day of Memory and Solidarity of Victims.
