Putumayo and Amazonas. In recent hours, personnel of the National Navy in search and fluvial control operations, managed to find more than one ton of contraband merchandise.
The first operation was carried out in the municipality of Leticia, in the department of Amazonas, where men of the National Navy inspected two ships and found 132 units of liquor. The individual that manned the ship did not present the documentation required to establish its purchase or origin.
In other operation, carried out at the dock La Esmeralda, in the municipality of Puerto Asis, Putumayo, it was possible to find 37 containers with 1,110 kilograms of rice, transported illegally aboard the boat "Alexander".
The material found in the operations was put into custody of to the Directorate of National Taxes and Customs, DIAN.
