Young people seek excellence during their time of service in the military forces in the Battalion of Support and Services for Combat No. 12 General Fernando Serrano Uribe.
Caquetá. In order to provide tools to the soldiers who serve in the military forces in the Battalion of Support and Services for Combat No. 12 "General Fernando Serrano Uribe", 130 young people who are part of the first contingent of 2018 of that unit, attend complementary education programs in English, sales, customer service and environmental issues, in the frame of the alliance of the National Learning Service (SENA) of Caquetá and the Twelfth Army Brigade.
The training provided to this group of men is designed to fulfil the needs of the service, since, after they pass the instruction stage, at the end of the oath to the flag, they will be sent to the offices of the major operation units to support areas of bilingualism for those who are studying foreign language, or to the restaurants of the military forces as sales experts, or to the guards for customer service. In the same way, those who attend the environmental management program, will be in positions of control and they will be entrusted with the management of solid waste.
According to Frank Darío Rodríguez, academic coordinator of the complementary training programs of SENA - Caquetá, this process will led young people to have the skills to access a better job once they obtain their military card. "This will lead the soldier to enter the labor market with some skills, precisely for the entire productive sector, so we provide training programs that fit their needs and also that are useful for the future," he explained.
This alliance takes place in the framework of the Faith in Colombia - Pasión Caquetá program and the strategic axis of Institutional Strengthening of the Victoria Plus Plan, which projects a trained, professional and disciplined army with high quality standards at the service of the community.
