The National Army continues to reach the most vulnerable communities of the department of Tolima with the purpose of bringing progress and development.
Tolima. In order to mitigate the priority needs of the population and provide wellbeing and progress, the men of the Sixth Brigade and the Support Command of Comprehensive operation and Development, went to the Gaitán Municipality, in Rioblanco, in the south of Tolima , with a wide range of medical and recreational services.
The activity was led by the Land Operations Battalion N ° 19 and the Support Battalion of Comprehensive operation and Development N ° 5, in coordination with the municipal council of Rioblanco, the NGO Fundación Fuerza Colombia, the Fundación Voluntarios de Corazón de Ibagué, among others Institutions, who worked for the benefit of 2128 people in this population.
During this important Day of Development Support they provided 249 services in general medicine, 136 in dentistry, 22 in dental mechanics, 95 in psychology, 70 in nutrition, 69 in pediatrics, 21 in vaccination and 45 in growth and development. For its part, the team of 'Faith in Colombia' advised the community on productive projects and environmental management, who in the same way received complementary services such as hairdressing, manicure and lectures. It is important to note that the inhabitants of the sector in the same way benefited with the distribution of 920 presents.
On the other hand, children and adolescents lived two days full of smiles and happiness, thanks to recreational activities, as well as the spectacular show and presentation of the high-level dog training, balloon twisting, drawing workshops, cinema at the park, among others.
The environmental team of the Fe in Colombia program distributed 180 trees in order to promote the conservation and protection of the environment.
The community expressed its voice of thanks to the soldiers of the homeland and the municipal mayor who led this activity, which seeks the social transformation of its inhabitants.
