With the purpose of strengthening hope and the links with the State, to improve the quality of life of the children and young people of the municipality of La Macarena and its different hamlets, a Development Support Day was held last weekend with the support of the Official Professionals of the Reserve of the Air Combat command No.7 of Cali.
This work, led by the Air Component of the Joint Task Force Omega, in the same way, included the participation of the Rapid Deployment Force No.1, the Municipal Mayor's Office, the Ministry of Education and the Military Air Transport Command CATAM.
Those attending the day received medical services and specialists consultations, such as gynecology, dentistry, physiotherapy, speech therapy, respiratory therapy, psychology, orthopedics, traumatology, triage, nutrition, recipes and pharmacy, focusing the greatest interest on children, with pediatric services and donation of toys, clothes, school kits and dental kits, among others, benefiting more than 1700 people and distributing more than 1600 presents and donations.
In the same way, with the support of the Air Component of the Joint Task Force, it was possible to reach the most remote and difficult-to-access schools in the area, such as the Santa Teresa Boarding School and Las Delicias School.
This joint, coordinated and interagency work concluded with the materialization of the first stage of the project "Paint and decorate La Macarena with the colors of Caño Cristales,” highlighting the good management and support of the Officers of the Air Combat Command No. 5 of Rionegro, in the department of Antioquia and the company INVESA SA, who donated more than 20 gallons of painting of different colors which began to transform the municipality into a place full of joy, tranquility, nature .
