Huila. The continuous operations have led traffickers to try to transport small shipments of illicit substances, a strategy that is in the same way being heavily countered by soldiers in the framework of the Diamante Plan.
It is about 6 kilos 427 grams of Cripy-type marijuana, which had to be abandoned by the drug traffickers before the operations of the men of the Infantry Battalion No. 27 'Magdalena', of the Ninth Brigade, in the village El Mármol, in the municipality of Isnos, south of the department of Huila.
The narcotic that was in wooded area, was being transported in a bag where troops found eight packages wrapped in black bags, secured with transparent tape.
Apparently, the objective of the drug traffickers, was to hide the illicit substance while waiting for an oversight of the troops; however, the use of the trained dogs led to the finding of the marijuana.
According to the investigative work, the marijuana (2,142 doses) would cost in the illicit market about $ 5,142,000 pesos.
This is a result that counteracts the supply of doses to minors of age, a population sector that is being seriously harmed by the commercialization of this substance.
