In the fight against the constructions used for drug trafficking, in different joint operations conducted by the National Navy, the National Army and the Colombian Air Force, found and destroyed nine laboratories in the department of Putumayo.
The nine coca base paste production constructions were built in the village Villa Victoria and in the El Mirador sector, in the municipality of Puerto Asís, in the department of Putumayo.
At the moment of checking the structures, troops found 1,062 gallons of liquid precursors, 1,327 kilograms of solid precursors, among them 480 kilograms of coca leaf, and different elements used for the production of alkaloids.
The laboratories, which had the capacity to produce about 170 kilograms of coca paste per month, as well as the materials, were destroyed at the site of the discovery.
With the destruction of these structures, the logistical networks of the drug trade will not receive any longer about one thousand two hundred million Colombian pesos, about US$ 375,420.
