With 235 cartridges of different calibers, 29 magazines and accessories for rifle and machineguns, attacks against the civilian population and the Security forces could take place.
In the framework of the plan Diamante II, the Quiron Task Force, through the different ground operations carried out in the department of Arauca, managed to thwart the criminal intentions of the Group 'Martha Elena Barón' of the front 'Domingo Laín Sáenz' which is considered a resounding blow to the criminal capacity of this organized armed group.
The operation that led to the discovery of the illegal hideout, was carried out in the village of Araguaney, municipality of Arauquita, finding in its interior 235 cartridges of different caliber, 29 magazines, two canons for machinegun, and accessories for weapons, buried in a depth of approximately two meters.
With this material of war, the ELN intended to carry out attacks against the civilian population and the infrastructure of the department, a situation that was thwarted by the troops of the National Army with the support of the Citizen Participation Network, who is invited to continue reporting on acts suspects that put at risk the good physical condition of the inhabitants of this region of the country.
