Rear Admiral Francisco Cubides Granados, director of the Naval Academy of Cadets 'Almirante Padilla', received the visit of Mr. Peter Ptassek, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Colombia, to introduce the National Navy and Merchant Marine officers and its institutional challenges. The visit took place in the naval academy and maritime university of Colombia.
During the tour, the innovation and training capacities of the Center for Research, Development and Innovation of Maritime Activities (CIDIAM) of the Naval School of Cadets were presented and a simulation exercise was carried out in the Full Mission Bridge Simulator which is used by the institution for research and strengthening the decision making of the cadets and seafarers.
In the same way, he visited the Planetarium JT (R) José Garzón, which has an equipment of German origin of first generation, with half a century of service, where the students of the Naval School and children, youth and adults of the region and the country receive instruction in astronomical navigation and astronomical culture is created.
