In the municipality of Segovia the Colombian Air Force brings hope to indigenous communities of the department of Antioquia through a Development Support Activity.
With the purpose to benefit more than 450 people of the Embera Chamí ethnic group, the Air Combat Command No. 5 provided Black Hawk helicopters transporting doctors and cargo to provide care in general medicine, pediatrics, gynecology and dentistry, among others, in addition to the pink consultation room to prevent breast cancer.
With the participation of the National Army, Professional Officers of the Reserve of the CACOM-5, the Foundation 'Santi Un Milagro de Vida' and the Feljasa company of Medellín, girls, boys and adults received clothing, medicines and cribs for babies were in the same way distributed.
In this way the Colombian Air Force works in the remote areas of the national territory and strengthens the bonds of partnership with the indigenous population.
