There are already three emergencies of inhabitants, tourists and members of the Security forces that the units of the Pacific Naval Force have resolved in less than a week.
The National Navy, through the Naval Force of the Pacific, carried out the evacuation of a member of the National Police who had health complications in the municipality of Docordó, in the department of Chocó and provided medical assistance to a Dutch tourist, who had a fracture, when he was in the municipality of Juanchaco, in the department of Valle del Cauca.
In the municipality of Docordó, in Chocó, an aircraft belonging to the Pacific Air Group arrived from Juanchaco, in the department of Valle del Cauca, to answer a National Police evacuation request; one of its police assistants, 19, was unconscious due to a syndrome of respiratory difficulty, with possibilities of cardiorespiratory arrest, and so he required urgent transfer.
The police assistant of the National Police, was taken to Buenaventura and during the flight, the personnel of the Military Health, Worked to provide him with medical assistance and they stabilized his vital signs. In the port, he was awaited by an ambulance that moved him to a hospital for his recovery.
On the other hand, a citizen of Dutch nationality, who enjoyed a few days of rest in the community of Juanchaco, in the department of Valle del Cauca, suffered an injury, when he apparently jumped in a ravine. According to the examination carried out by the personnel of rescuers of the Grupo Aeronaval del Pacífico; he could have a fracture in his left foot. The tourist was moved to the city of Cali, for a specialized care.
It should be noted that in the last case, the medical care provided by the personnel of the National Navy, through the rescuers of the Grupo Aeronaval del Pacífico, was necessary due to the lack of medical personnel and infrastructure to face any type of emergency, in the communities that are part of the Uramba National Natural Park.
