Relief agencies of the departments of Huila and Tolima, such as the Red Cross, Civil Defense, Firefighters and Cortolima, participated in the Vulcano Exercise II led by the Colombian Air Force in order to integrate a single team, to face different situations of emergency that may arise in the region, such as natural disasters, forest fires, earthquakes, floods, among others.
The objective of the meeting is based on the training provide by instructors of the Personnel Recovery Center, CNRP, to the personnel from different relief agencies, with respect to the procedures that must be taken into account for attending events, in addition to generate an adequate and efficient communication in coordination issues that led to speed up the required supports, optimizing the resources available for each one of the participating institutions and focusing the efforts towards the same objective.
These spaces help to provide an adequate feedback on how to act and proceed against some type of emergencies, as well as promote and strengthen good relations with governmental institutions, necessary to unify the efforts for the benefit of the hit communities.
