Units of the National Navy find 31.5 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, transported on board a merchant ship from Portugal, in Turbo, in the department of Antioquia.
During an underwater inspection work, carried out by highly trained divers of the Urabá Coastguard Station, troops found 31 packages wrapped in black plastic, hidden in the submerged structure of the merchant ship, specifically in the back on the starboard side (right), when the ship was in the cargo area, in the Bahía Colombia sector, in Turbo, Antioquia.
The alkaloid was taken to the Urabá Coast Guard Station, where the judicial authorities carried out the Piph Preliminary Identification Test, which resulted positive for 31 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
