Due to the high temperatures caused by the El Niño, the Government of Antioquia gave a Bambi Bucket system to the Aviation Mobility and Maneuver Battalion No.7, to extinguish fires.
In order to protect the flora and fauna of the region, the aviation of the National Army has become a fundamental tool for the timely extinction of fires and rescue of people in extreme conditions.
The department of Antioquia due to the high temperatures and fires caused by the phenomenon of El Niño, in the country, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Assistance of the governorate gave the Battalion a complete Bambi Bucket system to strengthen the capacities of fire extinguishing.
In addition, the National Army has had an active participation in the Departmental Council for the Management of Risks and Disasters of the city of Medellin, presenting the protocols of activation of the air support to face risk events that may occur in the department.
