An immediate reaction of the troops prevented the execution of a possible kidnapping in San Alberto, in the department of Cesar, capturing three of those involved in that crime.
In a decisive and timely military operation carried out by troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) - Santander and the Technical Investigation corps of the Prosecutor's Office, it was possible to capture three people, accused of trying to kidnap a citizen in the municipality of El Líbano, the municipality of San Alberto, in the department of Cesar.
In the first operation, the soldiers captured a 29-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman, who according to the victim's denunciation tried to enter his house to kidnap him, but upon giving timely warning to the authorities, the soldiers of the Military GAULA (ANTI-EXTORTION AND ANTI-KIDNAPPING GROUP) – Santander, a control checkpoint was prepared on the road, which led to find the criminals who were trying to flee. In the operation a revolver and five cartridges were seized.
In other event, in the sector of Colorados in Bucaramanga, in the department of Santander; a third capture of a 34-year-old man was possible. He apparently was another member of the group that was trying to commit the kidnapping in the municipality of the south of Cesar. The man, noting the presence of the authorities, tried to escape towards the Santander capital city. The captured were put into custody of the authorities.
