In an operation against the transnational organizations that perpetrate drug trafficking, which commit crimes in the Colombian Caribbean, carried out by the Colombian Navy, the Drug Control Police of Costa Rica and authorities of Belgium coordinately worked for the discovery of 92.4 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
The operation took place in the port of the city of Antwerp - Belgium, where the authorities of that country, when inspecting the merchant ship 'Dole Asia', with flag of The Bahamas, found the alkaloid hidden in the cargo bay of the boat
Apparently, the ship would have left in the previous days the Gulf of Urabá destined to that country, where the alkaloid would be commercialized, in the European market. It is estimated that the cost of this shipment of narcotics, in the international black market, is close to six million Euros, a figure that thanks to this operation will not enter the finances of this illegal group.
This operation is part of mutual cooperation, teamwork and the commitment of several nations to fight against drug trafficking and work for the legal use of the sea.
