The Prince of Norway, Haakon Magnus, Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations Development Program, highlighted the work carried out by the Military Forces in the Territorial Area of Training and Reincorporation (ETCR) La Guajira, in the department of Meta.
The goodwill ambassador visited this ETRC in order to strengthen the bilateral relations of the two countries, in addition to advance on an ecotourism project called: Environments for Peace, which will benefit the communities of the region, which is planned to be carried out in the municipality of Mesetas, in the department of Meta, in the area known as Caño Rojo.
At the press conference, Haakon Magnus said that the project aims to help prevent deforestation, defending environmental conservation and peacebuilding capacities, highlighting that if we are able to deal sensitively with nature, we will be able to undertake sustainable projects that will guarantee the future of the next generations.
The Prince was received by Major General Francisco Javier Cruz Ricci, Head of the Implementation and Stabilization Department of the Joint Strategic Command of Transition (CCOET), who was in front of the troops, with the support of the Joint Task Force 'Omega', to provide security during the trips and activities to be carried out by the UN Goodwill Ambassador.
