In compliance with the Bicentennial Plan in the village of Caño Izquierdo, municipality of Puerto Rico, in the department of Meta, soldiers of the National Army arrived at the site, where the ammunition was put in a pit measuring approximately 1.5 meters long by 60 cm wide and one meter depth.
Once the area was secured and the established protocols were implemented, experts in Explosives and Demolitions proceeded to destroy these devices under controlled conditions without hitting the troops or the civilian population.
