The result occurred during security patrols and control of the area, carried out by Urabá Coast Guard, who interdicted the ship "La Soberana", which would have sailed from the port of Panama, bound for the municipality of Córdoba.
Thanks to the rapid reaction of the Units that arrived at the area of the sector known as the Cerro del Águila, in the municipality of Necoclí - Antioquia, 152 cartons of cigarettes containing 76,000 packs were found inside the Korean motor ship, whichh according to the information provided by the Directorate of National Taxes and Customs (Dian), this contraband merchandise would cost more than 100 million pesos.
During the search of the ship, the units determined that the merchandise transported did not have the documentation that proves its origin, and the import manifest issued by the National Tax and Customs Directorate (Dian). The contraband merchandise found was handed to the Dian to carry out the corresponding confiscation procedure, while the individuals were put into custody of the Turbo Prosecutor's Office.
