Troops of the Navy of Colombia in conjunction with the National Army, the Colombian Air Force and in coordination with the National Police, found and destroyed two laboratories used for the production of coca paste, in the area of Puerto Ospina, in the department of Putumayo, according to information provided by intelligence work.
In the laboratories there were 278 gallons of liquid precursors, 255 kilograms of solid precursors and 887 grams of coca base paste. The laboratories, together with the precursors, were destroyed under controlled conditions with the supervision of the Judicial Police to prevent them from being used again for the manufacture of alkaloids or narcotics.
