According to intelligence work, it could be established that the alleged member of the GAO-r would once have demobilized and currently he would be linked to illicit activities with the Organized Armed Group GAO Eln.
In the village La Paz, municipality El Carmen, in the department of Norte de Santander, alias 'Araña', presumed member of the organized armed group Eln, front 'Camilo Torres Restrepo', apparently was the one who organized and articulated drug trafficking activities and terrorist operations in this municipality.
With approximately 28 years in the GAO - Eln, alias 'Araña' was in the same way known for his extensive knowledge in handling and storage of explosives and installation of mined areas. In his criminal experience there is evidence of participation in kidnappings, criminal intelligence against the Security forces and forced recruitment.
This individual was wanted with an arrest warrant for the crime of aggravated conspiracy to commit crimes, use, production, marketing and storage of antipersonnel mines, kidnapping and illegal recruitment, and apparently, he was the right hand of alias 'Wilkin', head of the Magdalena area, northeastern war front, and alias' 'Wilse', second head of the front 'Camilo Torres Restrepo' of the GAO - Eln.
During the capture process he was found with a short range weapon, a hand grenade and 200 meters of two wire cables commonly used by terrorists for the activation of improvised explosive devices.
Parallel to this operation, in the village La Cristalina, municipality of Teorama, the capture in flagrancy of alias 'Brayan', alleged member of the Organized armed group (residual) took place. This individual apparently in the same way maintains ties with the ELN.
As established, this person would have demobilized in 2016, however once he completed the process of reincorporation into civilian life he continued with his criminal activity as a militiaman of the Residual Organized Armed Group, participating in terrorist operations against the Security forces in the hamlets La Trinidad, Filo Guamo and El Aserrío, in Teorama, in the department of Norte de Santander.
Alias 'Brayan', at the time of his capture, was caught transporting war material, ammunition, military garments and communication equipment.
These individuals were put into custody of the authorities who will continue the investigation and judicial processes.
