The activity that was coordinated with the Municipal Administration had as its epicenter in the hamlet Puerto Amor and led to provide 876 social services to the vulnerable population.
Francy Vargas, a resident of the rural area of San Vicente del Caguán, made her dream, she had five months ago, real: listening to the heart of his 26-week-old grandson thanks to an ultrasound on his daughter-in-law during an institutional development support activity led by the Sixth Division of the National Army through the Infantry Battalion No.36 'Cazadores' of the twelfth Brigade, of the Support Command of Comprehensive Action and Development and the Municipal Administration in the village Puerto Amor.
The site chosen as the epicenter for this activity is only 40 minutes away by road of the municipal capital town, there converge the inhabitants of El Pescador, Honduras, Las Perlas, Campo Bello, Los Andes, Las Morras and La Campana, who, in the same way, do not have a health center to meet their medical needs, such as those of pregnant women who do not have the means to start prenatal check-ups without having to travel to the population centers. That is why the peasants attended the invitation that provided 876 social services free of charge.
This activity aimed at mitigating the basic needs of a population that for years suffered the effects of the conflict. These efforts are combined to exercise Institutional Control of the Territory and look for its consolidation.
