This is the third visit of the President of the Republic, Iván Duque Márquez, to the ETCR, where the Joint Strategic Command of Transition - CCOET, of the General Command of the Military Forces, provides security. There are in the country 24 of these spaces in which men and women of the Security forces are deployed to guarantee their security, for this reason, the Commander of the CCOET, General, Néstor Robinson Vallejo, accompanied the President in the meeting “Carpa Azul” and during the visit to the ETCR La Fila, in the municipality of Icononzo -Tolima.
For more than an hour and with the participation of the ambassadors of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Brazil, Spain, Canada, Japan, Norway, Chile and Italy the meeting 'Carpa Azul' was held. In addition to the representatives of the international community, national institutions such as the Stabilization Counseling, the Agency for Reincorporation, unions and businessmen participated in the meeting, such as Mr. Arturo Calle, who highlighted the work of the institutions that focus all the effort in the transition and also the business society, who helps strengthen these environments.
During the tour by the ETCR, in which 285 people are in process of reincorporation, the president, the head of the United Nations Mission in Colombia and the ambassador of the European Union, were guided by the ex-members of the Farc, who along with the officials they had the opportunity to share a lunch, visit the kindergarten, the community library, the beer production plant and the garments factory. At the same time, they could see firsthand these products made by the former members of the Farc-Ep.
For his part, the Presidential Adviser for Stabilization, Emilio Archila, highlighted the tireless work of the Security forces to provide security to the former members of the FARC, in the Territorial Training and Reintegration Spaces - ETCR, at the same time that he highlighted the work of the local administrations, leaders of the ETCRs and the surrounding communities. // SVCIM
