Due to the heavy rains that occurred in the department of Chocó and the overflow of the San Juan River that hit several municipalities, the Colombian Air Force showed solidarity with the victims and took nearly two tons of humanitarian aid to the municipality of Cértegui.
Thanks to the campaign undertaken by the Professional Officers of the Air Combat Command Reserve No.5 it was possible to collect cleaning elements, non-perishable food, mats and school kits that were distributed in one of the six municipalities that suffered the consequences of the climatic phenomenon.
These aid was transported in a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter from CACOM-5 to Quibdó and then by land to the municipal sports center, where they benefited about 300 families, approximately 1,200 people, who were seriously hit by flooding in this municipality.
