In military operations coordinated with the National Police, troops of the Seventh Brigade captured two individuals who had with them 209 kilograms of coca base paste, distributed in 196 packages.
In the sector La Virgen, in the municipality of Puerto Gaitán, in the department of Meta, in a road control checkpoint, the soldiers find inside a dump truck, the alkaloid valued at more than 522 million pesos.
During this operation, two individuals belonging to the organized armed group “Puntilleros Libertadores del Vichada” were in the same way caught in flagrante delicto. These operations once again hits the drug trafficking chain that constitutes the main link in the illicit financing of these groups.
The captured, the dump truck and the material were put into custody of the authorities for their respective judicial process.
