After flying more than 1,000 kilometers on board a COLOMBIAN AIR FORCE plane and traveling 40 kilometers on the imposing Amazonas River, the Colombian Air Force, working jointly with the National Navy and coordinately with the Air France Mission Foundation, arrived in the municipality of Zaragoza to inaugurate a toy library.
Chairs, tables, shelves and toys were transported by an airplane of the Colombian Air Force, from Bogota, to the city of Leticia, to benefit the children of this Amazonian community.
The project will benefit more than 650 inhabitants, where 50 percent are boys and girls whose ages range from 0 to 15 years old. They belong to the indigenous groups MataPies, Ticunas, Cocamas, Yawas and Yucunas.
During the official inauguration, the community and military enjoyed artistic performances played by a group of children, who through dances showed the richness of their culture.
