Thanks to the timely call of the community and the intelligence work of the Special Energy and Roads Battalion No. 3 of the Tenth Brigade, organic of the First Division of the National Army, it is possible to thwart a terrorist attack on the Via Ruta del Sol in the sector of Curumaní, in the department of Cesar, which was intended to be carried out by the Organized Armed Group GAO Eln.
Through intelligence information, it was possible to detonate, by the Explosives and Demolitions team of the Engineers Battalion no. 10, under controlled conditions, two explosive devices, gas cylinder-type, that would have the main objective of attacking on the life of the civilian population that transits through this sector, and the troops of the National Army and the Highway Police, which carry out routine checkpoints on this sector.
