A 64-year-old woman and a one-month-old girl were evacuated by the Colombian Navy when a health activity was being carried out in the municipality of Punta Soldado, 45 minutes by boat of the municipality of Buenaventura in the department of Valle del Cauca
In this municipality the Units and personnel of the Coast Guard of Buenaventura of the Navy of Colombia were with medical specialists of the "Angeles por Colombia" foundation to assist the inhabitants of this sector and provide well-being.
During the health activity, the 64-year-old woman received dental services and when she left the doctor's office, she fainted, and she was immediately attended by the medical staff, who, upon evaluation, detected she had low blood pressure and had to be evacuated. In the same way, during the different medical evaluations, a one-month-old baby, who was brought by her 21-year-old mother to the doctor's office, was found to be suffering from severe malnutrition, so she needed to be evacuated immediately.
So far this year, the Pacific Naval Force has carried out the evacuation of 22 people of the Pacific Coast communities who had different emergencies.
