In the framework of the commemoration of the international day of recycling, the Navy of Colombia led an activity of cleaning the beaches of Tierra Bomba and Punta Arena, in the insular zone of Cartagena.
In this activity, which was complemented by the company Éau Thermale Avéne, Aseo Urbano and Fundación Bahía, 417 kilograms of solid waste were collected, including plastic bottles, polystyrene, glass and metal, among others.
The purpose of this activity is to mitigate the problems caused by garbage in the natural environment, ensuring quality of life, sustainable development and environmental conservation.
The Navy of Colombia reiterates its commitment to the preservation of the environment, while invites the citizens to report any damage made against nature through the telephone line 146 or the marine VHF channel 16.
