Committed to the most vulnerable communities of the municipality, the Héroes Bicentenarios led the collection of elements for the Elderly people foundation Fundacion del Anciano.
One of the priorities of the National Army is to reach the population through activities that led to the development, progress and improvement of the quality of life of the most vulnerable groups. That is why the Support Command of Comprehensive Action and Development with its Battalion of Comprehensive Action No.5, the Fe in Colombia Program and the Humanitarian Demining Battalion No.2, have started an initiative that seeks to collect items such as towels, diapers, clothes, shoes, cleaning elements, among others, to distribute them to the older people who live in the Elderly people Foundation of the municipality of Chaparral.
For this reason, the Bicentenary Heroes have walked by the main streets of the municipality approaching the merchants to request their solidarity, and they also have invited all the people to join this initiative by contributing to the Foundation of the Elderly. More than 80 older adults live in the foundation thanks to the charity of the population of Chaparral.
"On behalf of the legal representative Rosalba Durán and other members of the board of directors, we want to thank the Comprehensive Action Battalion, the Faith in Colombia Program and the Demining Battalion No.2, for the great collaboration they have had with the Foundation, they are always ready for our activities" said Claudia Armero, nurse of the Foundation.
The National Army, through the Support Command of Comprehensive Action and Development, the Fifth Division and the Faith in Colombia Program, invite Colombians to be part of all social initiatives that seek to strengthen the social fabric throughout the country. .
