The National Army and the program Fe en Colombia continue to promote the care of the environment through this type of activities.
Professionals of the program Fe en Colombia, accompanied the planting of 500 trees in La Granja building of the Agricultural Technical School Los Andes, in Planadas, in the department of Tolima, in order to protect water sources and landslides high risk areas.
The environmental activity was carried out in a joint work with the students, the parents and teachers, motivating them and making them aware of the importance of taking care of the green areas of the southern territory of Tolima.
It is important to note that the President of the Republic, Iván Duque, launched the operation 'Artemisa', which seeks to combat all phenomena that threaten the environment, including the issue of illicit plantations and illegal mining.
"Our commitment to the country has no limits, we work hard every day to conserve and protect the environment through different initiatives promoted by the “Fe en Colombia” Program, in addition to joining others proposals of different institutions such as Cortolima and the company Bavaria last year. Today the invitation is for us to continue providing the communities with necessary tools and assume a firm responsibility for the planet because ultimately it is our habitat and it is necessary to take care of it to have quality of life," said Lt. Col. Yann Dubián Blanco Parra, commander of the Support Battalion of Comprehensive Action and Development No.5 and coordinator of the team Fe en Colombia.
For that reason and for the love for Colombia, the National Army and its Support Command for Comprehensive Action and Development are committed to the preservation of natural resources.
