In a rural area of the municipality of Corinto, Cauca, it was possible to find and neutralize a cocaine hydrochloride production laboratory, allegedly belonging to the residual organized armed group, Dagoberto Ramos structure.
Through a joint operation conducted by the Colombian Air Force and the National Army, coordinated with the National Police and interagency with the Attorney General's Office, this operation is carried out and decisively hits the finances of this group outlaw, since approximately 5 thousand kilograms of this narcotic were produced monthly.
One ton of cocaine hydrochloride and 228 kilograms of solid precursors such as caustic soda, cement and potassium permanganate were found by troops at the site, as well as 285 gallons of liquid precursors and equipment such as ovens and precision scales, materials used for the production of this psychoactive substance.
The destruction of this laboratory complements the operations carried out by the Military Forces in the department of Cauca, thus weakening the consolidation attempt of illegal activities of the armed groups. In this way, the Colombian Air Force, through its Resources, continues to combat the transnational problem of drug trafficking that so much damage does to the country.
