A six-year-old minor who suffered a snake bite on her right leg was evacuated in a UH-60 helicopter of the Colombian Aerospace Force, in Antioquia.
After a previous coordination with National Army troops, as responsible of the beaten girl, the National Center for Personnel Recovery, - CENRP- and the Air Combat Command No. 5, in Rionegro - Antioquia, an Angel helicopter was sent, which took off towards the Puntas de Ocaidó, in the municipality of Urrao, to carry out the humanitarian mission.
During the flight to Medellín, military doctors and staff rescuers of the Aerospace Institution monitored the vital signs of the patient, who worked for optimal and stable conditions until her landing at the Pedro Justo Berrío Battalion, where an ambulance was waiting to transfer her to a higher-level medical center in the capital city of Antioquia.
